The child can speak but cannot write after learning Chinese, the child's Chinese characters are not very good-looking, and the child is resistant to writing Chinese characters...... These problems have troubled many parents, so how to learn Chinese so that the child is willing to write Chinese characters, how about writing Chinese characters beautifully? We will answer your questions today!

100% imitation is not advisable

Some parents think that learning Chinese characters is easy, they only need to write out the characters, and let the children follow it. As for the process, it is not important, as long as the result is good, other aspects can be ignored. But! In fact, strokes, the most basic part of Chinese characters, are what children should pay attention most. Correct understanding of strokes and the order of writing strokes (stroke order) are the most important part of learning to write Chinese characters correctly.

If a child masters the order of writing Chinese characters, then even if they encounter Chinese characters they don’t know, they can write them out. Not only can write quickly, but also can write beautifully!

When we are free, we can write Chinese characters together with our children, and compare who can write better, or who can memorize formulas faster. This will not only stimulate children's competitiveness, but also make them willing to spend time studying Chinese characters carefully, it can also make children feel that their parents are working hard together with them. Therefore, don't full imitation, because impressions are also the easiest to be erased.

The purpose of practice is to remember

Some teachers or parents often assign a lot of writing homework when teaching students to write Chinese characters, such as writing 20 Chinese characters. Is this method really effective? Have you ever encountered a situation where children make mistakes as they write? I believe that many teachers and parents have seen it.Multiple times of practice can certainly strengthen memory, but we should pay more attention to whether children are really memorizing the strokes of Chinese characters during the writing process. If you just write blindly, ignoring the really important things, write again and again,it will still go wrong. And because some Chinese characters have many strokes and are more complicated to write, many students actually don't like to write Chinese characters, so changing the way at this time may have unexpected effects. For example, if children’s interests or hobbies are integrated into Chinese character writing, they will be more willing to write, and don’t need to let children write too many characters, as long as they can pass the test. Of course, the test methods include dictation, etc., and can do it again  pass a few days later. If the child can write correctly, then basically the child has mastered the writing of these Chinese characters.

It is indeed very difficult to write Chinese characters correctly. Chinese children and even adults will make mistakes. For example, many children know "休", but they will confuse it with "体", because they don't know the difference, and they don't know the specific meaning of these two words. At this time, simply memorizing strokes and stroke order is no longer enough. We can start from the character itself, just like "休", "亻" refers to people, "木" refers to wood and trees, “a person is tired and rests by the side of the wood", and "本" refers to the body itself. Isn’t a person’s body the body?As long as children can understand the meaning of these Chinese characters while learning Chinese characters, it will be of great help. In addition, the radicals of Chinese characters actually have certain rules. For example, 三点水 is usually related to water, and the radicals of 艹 are usually related to plants, etc. Of course, there are some exceptions, which need children to be able to distinguish.

Adjust mentality, not afraid of difficulties

The process of learning Chinese characters may be very difficult, and frequent mistakes will make children lose confidence, but we hope everyone will not give up easily. As teachers and parents, when we face children's negative emotions, we only need to give enough encouragement, and the children will adjust mood and continue to challenge Chinese character learning! So learning Chinese characters well can not only help children master a basic Chinese skill, but also exercise their ability to face setbacks with a positive attitude!

Finally, we hope that all Chinese learners can achieve good results in listening, speaking, reading and writing through their own efforts!
